Abstract

Provided are: a surface modification method for a three-dimensional object that involves simultaneously modifying the surfaces of a plurality of three-dimensional objects and that makes it possible to impart capabilities such as good sliding properties, durability against repeated sliding, and sealing properties; and a syringe gasket that is obtained using the surface modification method. The present invention relates to a surface modification method for a three-dimensional object that includes: a step (1) in which a plurality of three-dimensional objects are immersed in a photopolymerizable monomer-containing solution; and a step (2) in which a container in which the plurality of three-dimensional objects and the photopolymerizable monomer-containing liquid have been placed is rotated while the photopolymerizable monomer is polymerized by light irradiation and polymer chains are grown on the surfaces of the plurality of three-dimensional objects.
